Quick trip to Mt. Desert Island

Amy and the boys and I did a pre-Father's Day trip to Acadia National Park on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We spent one day hiking the Beehive and lounging on Sand Beach -- yes we even went all the way under in the fridgid Atlantic that day. On the way home we stopped by Fort Knox and went up in the observation tower on the Penobscot Narrows Bridge near Bucksport.  Here are the photos from that trip and a video from the Beehive hike.

The long dock at Mt. Desert Campground, where we stayed.

Shiver me timbers there she blows -- the Margaret Todd is thankful these cannon are plugged.
